The Chiwara is an antelope figure of the Bambara people of Mali, that represents the spirit that taught humans the fundamentals of agriculture. The design created here is a stylized hand carved version of the female antelope with a baby antelope done on 5 x 7 mounted linoleum.
Painted with pigmented acrylic and sealed with a high gloss varnish for protection from dust and moisture.
Comes with hanger on the back for easy wall hanging.
